Hundreds of years ago, the intelligent class of men, used to go house to house giving people knowledge of Vedas.As this knowledge has come directly from the Supreme Personality of GodHead, Krishna, this is the most perfect knowledge.

Perfect knowledge not only frees us from stress, tension & anxiety but also gives us knowledge about the Supreme Absolute Truth.During Vedic times,people in general lived and abided by this knowledge.Due to the very powerful influence of the present age (Kali Yuga), very, very few men really work for the benefit of human society. If we want to do welfare for society as a whole, we must connect people to the Supreme Personality of GodHead, Krishna so that people can live a healthy, peaceful and prosperous life. They say "Knowledge is Power".

Continuing the tradition, we at Kormangala Bhakti Centre take the responsibility of distribution of this knowledge for the benefit of the society by going house to house, temples and streets, trying to give knowledge to people.You may find us at your doorstep one day, with this knowledge in the form of books, in our hands.

These books are for all regardless of caste, creed, religion, place, etc. What is written in SrilaPrabhupada's books is applicable to all human beings.

The acharyas, the great empowered thinkers of human society have worked very hard for gathering knowlege from scriptures like 108 Upanishads, 18 Major Puranas, 4 Vedas and many other Vedic literature by undergoing severe austerities just so that the entire human society is guided in the right direction. They have complied a lot of books based on these scriptures.

Their sacrifice should not go in vain.It was Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu's desire that the science of God reach the general mass of people and people get benefited and go back Home, back to GodHead. Our Acharyas also have this mood and the same mood is reflected in Srila Prabhupadas books also.

The Book Distribution Department at ISKCON Koramangalar aims to distribute Vedic literature and books written or translated by Srila Prabhupada. Access to scriptures is necessary to follow instructions in the scriptures, engage in devotional service (bhakti) and thereby attain eternal peace and happiness.A team of devotees distribute books through various channels.

The basis of any culture is its philosophy. One of the most valuable contributions of ISKCON in society today are the books explaining the highest and most sublime philosophy in most simple words that provides practical solution to all problems at all levels.
